Your Role as a Cleaner
As a Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our clients’ facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Your responsibilities will include:
- Daily Cleaning Tasks: Cleaning toilets, offices, reception areas, and other workspaces to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Waste Management: Emptying office dustbins daily and disposing of refuse appropriately. You’ll also collect paper waste for recycling.
- Bathroom Maintenance: Checking and cleaning bathrooms twice a day to ensure they remain fresh and sanitary.
- Floor Care: Vacuuming carpets at least twice a week and dusting office furniture regularly.
- Window Cleaning: Cleaning windows on the inside at least quarterly on a rotational basis.
- Meeting Preparation: Assisting with the setup and preparation of boardroom meetings when required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with your team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and morale.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: A minimum of Grade 11, with a Grade 12 certificate being an advantage.
- Experience: Proven experience in cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Good communication skills and basic literacy.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and general hygiene practices.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Local Preference: Preference will be given to candidates from the local areas of Centurion, Pretoria CBD, and Tembisa.
