What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll wear many hats, but your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Guest Assistance and Customer Service:
   • Greet guests warmly as they arrive, projecting a hospitable, friendly, and professional attitude.
   • Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring it is handled with care and delivered to their rooms promptly.
   • Escort guests to their rooms, providing a brief orientation of the hotel’s facilities and answering any questions they may have.
2. Information and Communication:
   • Inform guests about the hotel’s services, amenities, and accommodation rates.
   • Build strong relationships with guests, making them feel comfortable and addressing any concerns or complaints courteously and efficiently.
   • Ensure clear communication and cooperation with other departments, particularly Housekeeping and the Restaurant, to provide seamless service.
3. Driving Duties:
   • Safely transport guests, staff, or items as required, ensuring punctuality and professionalism at all times.
   • Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle, ensuring it is always ready for use.
4. Operational Support:
   • Handle enquiries and messages promptly and courteously, ensuring guests receive the information they need.
   • Be observant and proactive, anticipating guests’ needs and going the extra mile to exceed their expectations.
   • Assist with lifting heavy objects and other physical tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• A Matric certificate (Grade 12). A tertiary qualification would be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Porter/Driver in a similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer service.
• A valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• A proactive, observant, and friendly personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
