Position: C1 Driver
In this role, you’ll be responsible for transporting passengers and goods safely between various locations in the PE and JHB areas. We’re looking for drivers who take pride in their work, are neat and professional in appearance, and who understand the importance of delivering a smooth and pleasant experience for our clients. If you’re a reliable, safety-conscious driver with a keen knowledge of local routes, this role might be the perfect fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and Timely Transportation: Transport passengers and cargo between specified locations in PE and JHB, adhering to all road regulations and company policies to ensure a safe journey.
- Route Planning and Navigation: Efficiently navigate local routes, relying on your knowledge of the JHB and PE areas to avoid delays and provide a smooth travel experience for all passengers.
- Vehicle Maintenance Checks: Conduct regular vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure the vehicle is in top operating condition. Report any mechanical issues or damage to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Professional and Customer-Focused Service: Interact with clients and passengers in a courteous, professional manner, upholding Dalasile’s reputation as “The Symbol of Excellence.” Strive to make each trip pleasant, safe, and enjoyable for passengers.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure a secure environment for passengers and pedestrians. Maintain awareness of all road and weather conditions, adjusting driving strategies accordingly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background: Completion of Matric (Grade 12).
- Valid C1 License with PrDP: You must hold a current C1 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) to qualify for this position.
- Minimum 4 Years of Driving Experience: We’re looking for individuals with at least four years of professional driving experience, preferably within the passenger or goods transport industry.
- Clean and Neat Appearance: Dalasile Transport Group values professionalism, and we expect our drivers to represent this standard through their presentation and conduct.
- Knowledge of PE and JHB Areas: Familiarity with the roads, routes, and shortcuts in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg is essential for this role, as it allows you to navigate efficiently and avoid delays.
