What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our warehouse running smoothly. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial Control and Billing:
- Manage and control contracts and billing services to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Create Purchase Orders (POs) for vendors providing services.
- Track investment projects, ensuring invoices align with orders and budgets.
- Invoice Management:
- Detect and resolve billing errors promptly.
- Identify and categorise invoices as either investment (assets) or expenses.
- Handle disputes, vendor invoices, credits, returns, and vendor job cards efficiently.
- Operational Expense Analysis:
- Analyse and investigate transactional activities related to warehouse operational expenses.
- Assist in ordering warehouse consumables and managing inventory.
- Participate in store inventory, stationery procurement, and dispensing.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal and external audits, customer services, logistics, trade sections, and other departments as needed.
- Quickly identify and communicate deviations in procedures, P&L (Profit and Loss) statements, and accounting data.
- Coordinate tasks with internal and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Document Management and Reporting:
- Safeguard and file important documents systematically.
- Report and track OPEX (Operational Expenditure) to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12).
- An Accounting Qualification (preferred) with 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- A solid understanding of supplier payments and cash line consolidation.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle (essential for this role).
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- The ability to apply processes and control systems effectively.
- Experience in meeting the demands of both internal and external customers.
- Knowledge and involvement in management control processes.
