About the Role
As a General Worker in this high-risk bakery environment, your key area of responsibility will be to follow food safety practices and procedures to the letter. You will be instrumental in maintaining quality, meeting customer specifications, and assisting in the overall production process. This is a permanent position, offering stability and an opportunity to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance and Food Safety
- Strictly adhering to In2Food’s company policies and procedures to maintain compliance with food safety standards.
- Reporting any potential issues to the relevant personnel to support the food safety management system.
- Consistently wearing and maintaining the required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated high-risk areas.
2. Operational Tasks
- Ensuring food items meet production standards and customer specifications.
- Operating food processing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
- Assisting in packing, loading, and unloading of cargo with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Supporting the cleaning and sanitation of work areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
3. Team Collaboration and Flexibility
- Assisting in other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations across the facility.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet production deadlines and targets.
4. Quality Assurance
- Producing outputs that match or exceed customer expectations.
- Conducting inspections to assess food quality and identify potential issues.
- Maintaining accurate records related to production and food safety processes.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Grade 11 / Matric (N3) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- A commitment to attention to detail, especially in loading, unloading, and assessing product quality.
- The ability to follow instructions meticulously while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
