Job Purpose
As a Picker Packer, you will play a crucial role in our warehousing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to pick and pack products based on daily orders, ensuring that each order is fulfilled accurately and promptly. You will be responsible for keeping products organized, separated, and in proper rotation to maintain the efficiency and reliability of our operations. This role is vital to maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Grade 12 credential is required.
- A minimum of one year of warehousing experience.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and scanners will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: You will be responsible for the timely put-away and picking of cargo, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the required time frames.
- Order Fulfillment: Utilizing scanners, you will pick and bin orders, ensuring that the cargo racked and picked is accurate and ready for dispatch.
- Stock Management: Conduct physical stock counts and re-palletize cargo as necessary, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that inventory is accurately recorded.
- Loading and Off-loading: Assist with the loading and off-loading of road vehicles and containers as needed, ensuring that all cargo is handled safely and efficiently.
- Tallying Cargo: Accurately tally inward cargo to ensure that all received goods are accounted for.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all housekeeping standards are met.
- Pallet Management: Conduct daily CHEP pallet counts, ensuring that pallet inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
- SHEQ Compliance: Ensure that all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) activities are upheld within your work area, contributing to a safe and compliant workplace.
- 5S Implementation: Participate in the implementation and maintenance of 5S activities (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in your area of responsibility, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
