Your Core Responsibilities as a Reaction Officer

As a Reaction Officer, you are not a passive guardian—you’re an active protector. Here’s how you contribute:

  • Patrolling Segments: You’ll conduct regular property sweeps, alert for threats before they escalate.
  • Surveillance Monitoring: Keep a sharp eye on CCTV and other security tech to stay ahead of incidents.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in Grade 12 or Grade 10/11 is required for education.
  • Security Credentials:
    • PSIRA Grade A & B
    • Armed Response Certificate
    • Firearm Competency (Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle)
  • Logistics: Valid driver’s license.
  • Communication Skills: Strong writing and spoken abilities to handle reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Relocation Flexibility: Willing to work in assigned provinces across South Africa.
