About the Role

The Production Learnership Program is designed to introduce learners to real-world manufacturing processes within a structured and supervised environment. As a Production Learner, you will be trained to assemble tyres according to specification standards while meeting targeted production cycle times.

Safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the heart of this role. You will learn to operate within strict safety guidelines, follow operational procedures, and contribute meaningfully to production targets as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Production Learnership Program, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting basic risk assessments on production equipment
  • Wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Maintaining 3S (Sort, Set in order, Shine) standards in your work area
  • Checking that all machine controls are in proper working order
  • Removing empty spools, trolleys, rolls, and other materials from machines
  • Returning empty materials to the appropriate component sections
  • Pushing viewed raw covers into designated storage bays
  • Supplying required solutions to production machines
  • Working effectively as part of a production team
  • Meeting required production targets within the scope of the learnership
  • Following all safety regulations and operational procedures

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or N3 Certificate
  • Mathematics (Pure Maths) and/or Physical Science is required

Language Skills

  • Proficiency in English is essential

Eligibility

  • Willingness to work on-site in Brits, North West
  • Ability to work full-time during the learnership period
