Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking recent graduates who have completed a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering and are eager to apply their knowledge in a real-world industrial setting. If you are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and ready to learn from industry experts, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: Completed Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Background: Must be from a previously disadvantaged background
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID document
- Residency: Must reside in Diepsloot, Laudium, Atteridgeville, Lotus Gardens, or Saulsville
- Documentation:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Updated CV with all academic records (including certified Grade 12 certificate and university statement of results)
- Proof of residence
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Intern at PPC Mooiplaas, you will be immersed in a structured learning environment where you will gain practical experience in various aspects of mechanical engineering within an industrial setting. Your responsibilities will include:
Practical Learning & Training (P1 & P2):
- Engage in hands-on training to understand mechanical systems, maintenance procedures, and plant operations
- Work alongside experienced engineers to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges
Maintenance & Engineering Support:
- Assist in preventative and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Participate in troubleshooting mechanical issues to ensure smooth production processes
Plant & Production Process Management:
- Learn about production workflows, efficiency optimization, and quality control
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving plant performance and sustainability
Documentation & Reporting:
- Assist in preparing reports on equipment performance and process improvements
