About the Role
As an Armed Response Officer at Seek Security, you will play a crucial role in protecting our clients and their properties. Your primary responsibilities will involve responding swiftly and effectively to security incidents, maintaining a high level of vigilance, and ensuring the safety of all individuals within your assigned area. This is a full-time position, and you will be working on a shift basis to ensure 24/7 coverage.
What We’re Looking For
- PSIRA Registration: You must be a registered member of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA). This ensures that you are professionally recognized and adhere to industry standards.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience as an Armed Response Officer or in a similar security role is essential. We value practical knowledge and skills that you can bring to our team.
- Firearm Competency: You should possess a valid firearm competency certificate for business purposes, issued by the South African Police Service (SAPS). This certifies your capability to handle firearms responsibly and safely.
- Valid Driver’s License: A current and valid driver’s license is necessary for the role, as you will be required to drive security vehicles.
- Clean Criminal Record: A clear criminal background is crucial to ensure the safety and trustworthiness of our team.
- Sober Habits: We expect all our officers to maintain a sober and professional demeanor at all times.
- Shift Flexibility: The nature of the job requires working in shifts, so you must be prepared to work at various hours, including nights and weekends.
