Position Overview: Grade C Armed Security Officers
We are looking for male Grade C Armed Security Officers who are passionate about safeguarding people and property. The primary location for these roles is Tembisa, but the operations are based at OR Tambo Airport, one of the busiest and most strategic locations in the country.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the safety and security of designated areas
- Conducting routine patrols
- Monitoring security systems
- Responding to incidents or emergencies with professionalism and urgency
This is a fixed-term contract position, meaning you will be engaged for a set period, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and operational requirements.
Experience and Skills Required
- PSiRA Grade C Certification: A valid PSiRA Grade C certification is a minimum requirement, and only applicants who hold this will be considered.
- Firearm Competency Certification: This is compulsory for all applicants. Candidates must have a valid firearm competency certificate, as armed security officers are entrusted with firearms as part of their duties.
- Professionalism: We seek individuals who are not only well-trained but also presentable and professional. As an armed security officer, you represent Eagle Eye Security Specialists in the public eye, and maintaining a professional demeanor is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
As a Grade C Armed Security Officer, you will be expected to:
- Maintain a High Level of Alertness: The security of the area you are assigned to is your top priority. You will need to stay vigilant and respond quickly to any security threats.
- Conduct Surveillance: Monitor activities in and around your designated area using CCTV systems and physical patrols.
- Provide Immediate Response: In the event of a security breach, you will be required to respond swiftly and efficiently. This may involve escorting individuals, providing protection during emergencies, and working in coordination with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Access Control: You will be responsible for monitoring entry and exit points, ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access to secure areas.
- Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report any incidents or suspicious activities you encounter, maintaining logs and ensuring reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Certification and Training
Applicants must have the following certifications:
- PSiRA Grade C Certification: This is the minimum certification required to be eligible for the role. If your certification is not up to date, we encourage you to renew it before applying.
