Key Responsibilities
As a security officer with Megameno Security, your primary duties will include:
- Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to maintain a visible and safe environment.
- Ensuring the safety and security of properties, clients, and the public.
- Reporting any suspicious activities, security breaches, or irregularities promptly.
- Assisting in emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical issues, or criminal incidents.
- Collaborating with other security personnel to maintain optimal security coverage.
- Responding to alarms and investigating disturbances.
- Controlling access to buildings, verifying identification, and checking for unauthorized personnel or visitors.
- Writing detailed reports of daily activities and any incidents that occur during your shift.
Shift Details
We have several shifts available, allowing for flexibility depending on your personal schedule and preferences:
- Grade B (Day Shift) – Monday to Friday
- Grade C (Day Shift) – Monday to Friday
- Grade C (Day Shift) – Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays
- Grade C (Night Shift) – Available from Monday through Sunday.

Requirements for the Role
- Grade 12 Certificate: All candidates must possess a minimum of a matriculation certificate (Grade 12) to be eligible for consideration.
- PSiRA Registration: All applicants must be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA), which governs security personnel standards and ethics. This is crucial to ensure that all employees adhere to industry standards and regulations.
The ability to follow protocol, think quickly on your feet, and maintain a professional demeanor in various situations is essential for this role. Physical fitness and mental alertness are also key, as security officers must remain vigilant throughout their shifts and respond swiftly to any incidents or emergencies.
