About the Role
As a Driver Code 14 x 3, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery and collection of materials to our customers. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain, making you an essential part of our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Inspection: Complete a vehicle inspection sheet and ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy before embarking on a journey.
- Defect Reporting: Report any defects or accidents to the branch manager immediately.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with weight and height limits on bridges and tunnels, as well as all rules and regulations for transporting materials.
- Route Planning: Navigate each destination on schedule to determine the most efficient route.
- Loading and Delivery: Load stock according to the log sheet with the operations manager and ensure that stock corresponds to the delivery note.
- Administration: Submit all relevant delivery administration and reports for an accurate record of completed deliveries.
- Customer Interaction: Obtain clients’ and customers’ signatures as acknowledgment of received goods and resolve any complaints effectively.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean and advise the operations manager when the vehicle is due for service.
- Problem Reporting: Report all delivery-related problems to the operations manager.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain compliance with all safety and security regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Matric or equivalent qualification is a MUST.
- Licenses: A valid Code 14 driver’s license and PDP/CD license are MUSTs.
- Certification: A Hazchem certificate is a MUST.
- Passport: A valid passport is DESIRABLE.
- Experience: Proven work experience as a Truck Driver, with the ability to handle dangerous goods.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with GPS technology devices, AVL units, and warehouse processes.
- Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of relative safety standards and protective clothing.
