Role Overview
As a SHEQ Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (QHSSE) standards are met. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks that support our QHSSE initiatives, ensuring that we maintain compliance and continually improve our processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Management: Control, file, and maintain all QHSSE-related documents and records.
- Reporting: Compile and consolidate monthly QHSSE reports and assist with the preparation of presentations and training materials.
- Training Support: Help facilitate QHSSE induction training for new staff and support ongoing training initiatives.
- Meeting Coordination: Take minutes during QHSSE meetings and ensure action items are tracked and completed.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all documentation aligns with GFC requirements and standards.
- Inspections: Plan and coordinate safety walk inspections, ensuring that reports are generated and actions are taken to address any identified issues.
- Liaison: Work closely with the SHEQ Manager and collaborate with staff and external organizations regarding QHSSE matters.
- System Management: Manage all relevant QHSSE systems and software, ensuring records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of QHSSE policies and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent, with a National Diploma in Safety Management and a SAMTRAC qualification.
- Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role, preferably within a poultry abattoir environment.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with SharePoint. Knowledge of QHSE Management systems and Food Safety Management Systems is essential.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You should be proactive in problem-solving and possess good typing skills.
