Position Overview
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient data management within the engineering workflow, supporting the maintenance and operational activities at Grain Field Chickens. This is a mid-senior role, ideal for candidates with a strong administrative background, particularly within a workshop or technical environment.
As a Data Capturer, you will be the backbone of our engineering operations, ensuring that job cards, invoices, and technical documents are captured accurately, filed properly, and accessible for reporting and operational purposes. Your contribution will directly impact the efficiency of the engineering department and the smooth functioning of production processes.
Key Responsibilities
As the Data Capturer in our Engineering Department, your core duties will include:
- Accurate Data Entry: Capture job cards, technical documents, invoices, and other critical paperwork into the company’s systems accurately and promptly.
- Job Card Management: Open and close job cards in line with departmental procedures, ensuring all information is current and precise.
- Report Compilation: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the engineering team, providing insights and summaries as required by the line manager.
- Planner Support: Actively support the Planning team, taking full responsibility in the absence of the Planner, ensuring continuity in scheduling and workflow.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist with parts store coordination, invoice checks, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Overtime Availability: Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime or on weekends if required to support operational deadlines.
