What We’re Looking For

• Valid Code 14 (EC) or Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP): This is essential for operating heavy vehicles and transporting goods or passengers legally and safely.
• At least 5 years of professional driving experience: We value drivers who have a proven track record and can handle the demands of both local and long-distance routes.
• Clean criminal record: Trust and integrity are at the core of our business, and we require all team members to uphold these values.
• Strong knowledge of South African road networks: Familiarity with both local and national routes is important for efficient and timely deliveries.
• Understanding of road safety regulations: Safety is our top priority, and we expect all drivers to adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies.
• Willingness to travel long distances: Our operations often require overnight trips and extended periods away from home, so flexibility is key.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills: Our drivers work closely with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers, so being able to communicate clearly and work as part of a team is essential.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a member of our driving team, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Safe transportation of goods or passengers: Whether you are delivering freight or transporting people, your primary duty is to ensure that everyone and everything arrives safely at their destination.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections: Before and after each journey, you will be responsible for checking your vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. This includes checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, as well as reporting any issues to our maintenance team.
• Ensuring timely deliveries and collections: Our clients rely on us for punctual service. You will need to manage your time effectively, plan your routes, and communicate any delays or issues promptly.
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and records: Keeping detailed records of your trips, fuel usage, and any incidents is a key part of the job. This helps us monitor performance and comply with legal requirements.
• Adhering to all traffic and company rules: We expect all drivers to follow the rules of the road and our internal policies at all times, setting a positive example for others and maintaining our reputation for professionalism.
