Position 1: Security Officers (Male & Female)
As a security officer at TRSS, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding people, property, and assets. Your presence will provide peace of mind and ensure the safety of all individuals within your area of responsibility. This is a role that requires vigilance, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. Whether you’re stationed at a corporate office, residential area, or retail establishment, you will be responsible for deterring theft, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol designated areas to ensure the security of the premises.
- Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems to detect unusual activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, ensuring the situation is handled professionally.
- Check and verify identification, maintaining controlled access to secure areas.
- Communicate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and clients.
- Write detailed incident reports when required.
Requirements:
- Training Certificate: You must have completed security training at an accredited institution.
- Valid Psira (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registration: This is essential for any individual working in the security industry in South Africa.
- Grade C/B: Your Psira certification must be at either Grade C or B, which qualifies you for different levels of security work.
- Grade 10/12: While not mandatory, a high school education (Grade 10 or Grade 12) is an advantage, demonstrating your ability to communicate and handle the demands of the job.
- Firearm Competency: Having a firearm competency certificate is an added advantage, although not a strict requirement for all roles.
Position 2: Cleaners
In addition to security personnel, TRSS is also seeking cleaners to join the team. As a cleaner, you will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for both employees and visitors. Cleanliness is essential in creating a positive and productive atmosphere, and your role will be fundamental in achieving this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that floors, windows, and surfaces are spotless and maintained to the highest standards.
- Remove trash and waste, ensuring proper disposal in designated areas.
- Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Identify areas that need special attention and report them to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and ensure that equipment is in good working condition.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the cleaner position will possess the following:
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a professional cleaning environment.
- Education: While not mandatory, having a Grade 10 or Grade 12 education is an advantage, ensuring that you can follow instructions and perform your duties efficiently.
- Valid South African ID: You must have a valid South African ID to apply for this position.
