1. Car Guards and Parking Attendants
- Positions Available: 20
- Role Description: As a car guard or parking attendant, you will be responsible for managing parking areas, ensuring vehicles are parked correctly, and providing security to prevent theft or damage.
2. Semi-Skilled Lifeguards
- Positions Available: 5
- Role Description: Lifeguards are crucial for maintaining safety at our local swimming facilities. This role involves monitoring swimming activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies.
3. Semi-Skilled Pound Ranger
- Positions Available: 5
- Role Description: As a pound ranger, you will assist in the management of animal pounds. Duties include caring for impounded animals, maintaining facilities, and assisting with adoptions.
4. Artisans
- Positions Available: Various (Plumbing – 1, Carpentry – 1, Bricklaying – 3, Painting – 1)
- Role Description: Artisans are needed for maintenance and construction projects. Whether you specialize in plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying, or painting, your skills will be put to good use in enhancing our community infrastructure.
5. Unskilled General Assistants
- Positions Available: 50
- Role Description: General assistants will support various municipal operations. Tasks may include manual labor, cleaning, and other support duties as required.
Requirements
- Application Form: You must submit your application on the prescribed form. These forms are available at the Greater Kokstad Municipality main offices, satellite offices, libraries, ward support offices, and community halls.
- Supporting Documents: Your application must include:
- a resume that includes information about your education and employment history.
- A certified copy of your ID.
- Certified copies of any qualifications you possess.
- A commissioned affidavit confirming your unemployment status as of the closing date of the advert.
- A letter of motivation explaining why you should be considered for the position over other applicants.
