Position Details

  • Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 Months)
  • Remuneration: R300 per day (competitive for entry-level government positions)
  • Locations & Vacancies:
    • Manyeleti Nature Reserve (2 Posts) – Ref: TC/Many/03/35
    • Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve (5 Posts) – Ref: C/BId/03/25
    • Songimvelo Nature Reserve (2 Posts) – Ref: C/BId/03/25

Who We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess:
✔ Academic Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics/Accounting (Non-negotiable)
  • OR Grade 12 with any finance-related qualification
    ✔ Essential Skills:
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, financial systems)
  • Impeccable numerical accuracy
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and report-writing skills
    ✔ Personal Attributes:
  • Trustworthiness and financial integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure in a tourism environment
  • Passion for conservation and public service

Your Day-to-Day Impact

As a financial custodian of our reserves, you’ll:

  1. Revenue Collection & Management
  • Process all cash transactions with 100% accuracy
  • Implement strict cash handling protocols
  1. Banking & Reconciliation
  • Prepare daily deposits following National Treasury regulations
  • Reconcile cash receipts with supporting documentation
  1. Financial Administration
  • Maintain meticulous financial records
  • Assist with petty cash management and inventory controls
  1. Conservation Support
  • Ensure all revenue directly supports reserve operations
  • Work alongside conservation teams in unique environments
