The Role
As a General Worker at Supreme Processing, your primary responsibility will be to provide essential support within our plant, ensuring smooth operations throughout the food processing cycle. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, adherence to hygiene standards, and teamwork are key. You will be instrumental in maintaining a clean and organized environment, inspecting products, and supporting various operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Sanitation: You will ensure that the entire facility remains clean and sanitary. This includes regularly cleaning and disinfecting work areas, equipment, and shared spaces. Your commitment to cleanliness helps us uphold our high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Waste Management: Proper disposal of waste and maintaining an organized production environment will be part of your duties. By keeping the workspace tidy, you contribute to a more efficient and safer working environment.
- Inspecting and Packaging Products: Precision is vital in inspecting and packaging further processed food products. You will need to pay close attention to detail to ensure that products meet our quality standards before they reach our customers.
- Monitoring Packaging Materials: Keeping track of packaging materials and replenishing them as needed will be part of your role. This helps ensure that production processes are not interrupted and that we can maintain a steady flow of products.
- Adhering to GMP Standards: You will follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that all products are processed and packaged under the highest quality and safety standards.
- Conducting Routine Checks: Regularly checking to confirm compliance with hygiene and sanitation guidelines is crucial. This will involve routine inspections and reporting any deviations or issues to your supervisor promptly.
- Supporting Shipments: Assisting with the loading and unloading of shipments is part of your responsibilities. This support ensures that products are efficiently handled and distributed.
- Performing Various Tasks: You may be required to perform errands or tasks outside the plant premises as needed. Flexibility in taking on additional duties helps us meet operational needs effectively.

What We’re Looking For
- Education: A Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is required. This ensures that you have the foundational education necessary for understanding and performing your job duties effectively.
- Experience: Ideally, you should have 1-2 years of working experience. While prior experience in a similar role is beneficial, we value a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Health: As the role involves working in a cold environment, good health is important. You should be comfortable working in conditions that may vary in temperature and environment.
