Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Storeman
- Knowledge: Proficiency in handling various tools
- Licenses: Valid Code 8 driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- Issuing Tools and Equipment: Distribute tools to staff every morning and throughout the day as needed. Ensure that all tools are tracked and recorded accurately.
- Vehicle Management: Oversee the checkout and check-in of vehicles, ensuring that all log sheets are filled out correctly and that vehicles are in good working condition.
- Inspection and Inventory: Maintain an inspection register to monitor the condition of tools and equipment. Regularly receive and log new tools into inventory.
- Housekeeping: Keep the storage area clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Workshop Environment: Familiarity with the operations of a workshop and the types of tools commonly used.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to handle and identify various tools.
- Technical Skills: Competence in using and maintaining tools.
