Forklift driver /General Worker Key Responsibilities:
- Support Chemical Manufacturing Processes:
- Assist in various unskilled tasks and processes related to chemical manufacturing.
- Assemble and report any abnormalities in equipment or products to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Follow established procedures meticulously, with limited discretion to deviate.
- Forklift Operation:
- Operate the forklift under the supervision of a supervisor, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
- Handle the logistics of finished products, including moving, stacking, and storing.
- Perform daily checks on the forklift, completing inspection logs to ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for forklift operation to maintain a safe working environment.
- Calhypo Handling:
- Stack and store calcium hypochlorite (calhypo) safely and effectively.
- Assemble loads of calhypo, ensuring they are prepared correctly for distribution or storage.
- Product Repacking:
- Repack damaged boxes and finished products to maintain the integrity of our inventory.
- Operate the shrink wrapping machine to secure products for storage or shipment.
- Ensure that plastic wrap is replaced when necessary to avoid disruptions in the wrapping process.
- Use of Initiative:
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, using personal initiative to solve minor issues that arise.
- Prepare videojet solutions as needed, showcasing a proactive approach to the role.
Additional Responsibilities:
- It is essential to keep your work area clean and organized in order to promote safety and productivity.
- Assist with other general tasks as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall productivity of the team.
- Participate in any required training programs to stay updated on safety practices and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a forklift driver or in a similar role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift operating license and familiarity with standard safety practices.
- Capacity to adhere to directions and operate under guidance.
- Diligent focus on precision and dedication to upholding superior levels of excellence and safety.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy lifting or strenuous tasks.
