Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Security Personnel: Lead and manage the security team during your shift. You will ensure that all security staff adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Implement Security Protocols: Develop and enforce security protocols to safeguard personnel, visitors, and property. Ensure all security measures are followed rigorously, and adjust procedures as necessary to respond to new threats or changes in the environment.
Incident and Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for handling any security incidents or emergencies. Respond promptly and effectively to any situation, including breaches, accidents, or other security-related occurrences.
Visitor Access and Control: Manage visitor access to the premises, ensuring that all visitors are properly logged and escorted as necessary.
Monitor Surveillance Systems: Oversee CCTV and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity. Ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and report any issues that may arise with the equipment.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain detailed, accurate records of security incidents, daily operations, and staff activities. Ensure that reports are submitted in a timely and professional manner, providing insights into the overall security operations.
Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, especially in the case of serious incidents. Foster positive relationships with these agencies to ensure swift and effective action when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

PSIRA Grade B Certification: You must have a valid PSIRA Grade B certificate, demonstrating that you meet the professional standards for security officers in South Africa.
Driver’s License and PDP: A valid driver’s license is necessary, and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) will be an advantage.
Security Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on security experience is required, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is necessary for report writing and communication purposes.
