Key Responsibilities:
- You will be expected to adhere to the highest safety standards, implementing best practices in every aspect of the training environment.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to identify the learning needs of our workforce and create effective interventions to address these gaps.
- Deliver training interventions using a variety of instructional techniques to ensure a comprehensive understanding of fire safety and emergency response. This will include both classroom instruction and practical on-the-job training.
- Regularly assess the impact of training programs, measuring improvements in employee performance and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- You will be involved in creating, revising, and updating training materials to ensure they reflect current standards and methodologies.
- Participate in discussions related to Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Personal Development Plans (PDPs), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and individual development.
- Offer suggestions and contribute to safety improvements, taking proactive steps to enhance the safety culture within the workplace.
- Participate in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe training environment.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: A minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematical Literacy or an equivalent qualification.
- Certifications:
- Fire Fighter 1 (NFPA 1001) certification (Must have).
- Fire Fighter 2 (NFPA 1001) certification (Must have).
- Level 3 First Aid certification (Must have).
- Hazmat Awareness (NFPA 1072/472) (Must have).
- Hazmat Operations (NFPA 1072/472) certification (Must have).
- Medical Fitness: Must be medically fit, as per the relevant Fire Fighter fitness level assessment requirements.
Experience and Skills:
We are looking for individuals with 0 to 5+ years of relevant experience. Ideal candidates will possess:

- Planning and Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage and align training programs effectively.

- Action-Oriented: A proactive and solutions-driven approach to safety and training challenges.
- Accountability: Taking responsibility for your role in the learning process and ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
