Role Overview: Security Official at SARB
As a Security Official within the GSMD, your primary responsibility will be to protect and safeguard the personnel, facilities, and assets of the SARB Head Office in Pretoria. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and security of the institution’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access and Egress Control: Manage the entry and exit points of the facility to ensure authorized access.

Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Security Industry Qualifications: PSIRA Grade C certification.
- Firearm Competency: Valid competency certificate for handling firearms, including 9 mm pistols, semi-automatic rifles, and shotguns.
- Experience: A minimum of two to five years of working experience in a security environment.
- Legislative Knowledge: Sound understanding of applicable legislation, including the National Key Points Act 102 of 1980, Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000, and Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977.
- Fitness: A level of medical, psychological, and physical fitness commensurate with the inherent requirements of the position.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism, discipline, and the physical fitness to work long hours.
Additional Advantages:

- Completed PSIRA training.
