What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- A Finance qualification (such as a BCom degree or equivalent).
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Intern, you will dive into a variety of tasks that will sharpen your skills and contribute to our operations, including:
- Processing management expenses payments through the JDE system.
- Troubleshooting accounts payable issues.
- Reconciling supplier accounts on a monthly basis.
- Updating the fixed asset register in the JDE system and managing depreciation journals.
- Handling credit card administration and reconciling the Visa Spend System with the JDE general ledger.
- Managing fleet card applications, cancellations, and amendments.
- Preparing monthly accrual schedules and quarterly submissions to the Reserve Bank and SASRIA.
- Participating in ad hoc projects as needed.
Knowledge and Skills
To thrive in this role, familiarity with the following is essential:
- IFRS and tax regulations (VAT).
- JD Edwards General Ledger.
- Best practices in finance.
- A foundational level of Excel skills.
