Rubicon Group Seeks Picker
Rubicon Group is hiring a Picker to enhance our warehouse operations. Be part of a dedicated team focused on excellence and sustainability in order fulfillment.
- Richmond Park, Cape Town, ZA
- Linbro Park, Gauteng, ZA
About the Role
At Rubicon Group, we’re committed to excellence and sustainability across our operations. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker to join our vibrant warehouse team. As a Picker, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our order fulfillment process is smooth, efficient, and accurate. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of goods through our warehouse and ensuring that customer orders are completed to the highest standard.
What You’ll Do
1. Efficient Stock Management
Your primary responsibility will be to manage and organize stock in our warehouse. This means receiving stock and placing it in the appropriate storage locations—whether it’s for Lighting, Energy, Utilities, Residential, or another category. You’ll ensure that every item is stored safely and that health and safety practices are strictly followed. If you notice any damaged or missing items, you’ll report these to your supervisor and stock controller promptly.
2. Order Fulfillment Precision
Accuracy is key in this role. You’ll be tasked with locating and retrieving items as per the order requirements. Understanding the details of each shipment—whether it’s for a branch, a customer, or a supplier—is crucial. You’ll also need to determine the type of order (customer order, replacement, transfer, etc.) and its final destination. Your goal is to ensure that every order is fulfilled correctly and efficiently.
3. Packaging with Care
Proper packaging is essential to prevent damage during storage and transportation. You’ll package items carefully and make sure they look presentable to uphold the company’s image. Any loose items without labels should be labeled according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
4. Accurate Documentation
Keeping accurate records is a critical part of your role. When picking items, you’ll document the quantity and quality, and address any discrepancies with the help of the stock controller. All documentation must be signed off by both you and the dispatch team to ensure accountability.
5. Maintaining a Clean Workspace
A tidy workspace promotes efficiency and safety. You’ll be responsible for keeping your work area clean and organized. This includes ensuring that all stock is stored in its designated area and that any inventory found outside its location is returned to the correct place after getting approval from the inventory controller.
6. Health and Safety First
You’ll help maintain a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential safety hazards. Keeping equipment clean and ensuring it is in good working condition is part of your daily tasks. Promoting a culture of health and safety within the warehouse is essential.
7. Utilizing Computer Systems
Basic proficiency in Windows and MS Office is required to manage inventory and handle documentation efficiently. Your ability to use these tools effectively will help streamline warehouse operations.

- Minimum Matric/NQF Level 4 qualification.

- 2+ years of experience in administration related to the role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
