Job Advertisement Summary:
As a Driver for Rand Water’s Bulk Water Services – Operations, you will play a crucial role in safely transporting personnel and equipment within and outside of the station. Your responsibilities will include collecting and delivering items from external suppliers and ensuring the vehicles under your care are clean and maintained in optimal condition.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- 3 years of relevant driving experience
- Valid code EB driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test
- Possession of a Public Drivers Permit (PDP)
Primary Duties:
- Safe Transportation: Safely collect and deliver items and equipment to designated destinations.
- Financial Responsibility: Ensure responsible use of petty cash for necessary expenses.
- Timely Transport: When transporting staff, ensure punctual arrival at their destinations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and ensure vehicles are in good working condition; report any defects or incidents promptly.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act)
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of road traffic rules and regulations
