Responsibilities
Security Officers appointed to this role will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at their assigned sites. Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing access control duties, ensuring that only authorized personnel, vehicles, and visitors are permitted entry
- Conducting regular patrols of buildings, perimeters, and designated security zones
- Monitoring CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches
- Completing incident reports accurately and timeously
- Enforcing site-specific security rules and procedures
- Assisting with emergency response situations, including evacuations or incidents
- Maintaining a professional presence and representing Fidelity Services Group positively at all times
- Working effectively as part of a security team, as well as independently when required
Required Qualifications
- A valid PSIRA certificate for Grade A, Grade B, or Grade C
- Proven experience in access control and patrol duties
- Solid understanding of security protocols, procedures, and site operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in Distribution Centers (DCs) or logistics environments
- Familiarity with high-traffic or high-risk sites
- Experience using surveillance systems and alarm monitoring tools
- Prior employment with reputable security firms
- Strong observational and reporting skills
