The Invoicing Clerk plays a critical part in our logistics and warehouse operations. You’ll be responsible for processing customer invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring that orders are released from the warehouse on time. Your meticulous attention to detail will help us maintain inventory integrity, boost customer satisfaction, and directly support sales growth and supply chain efficiency.
Your work will help streamline day-to-day processes and enhance our operational performance—making you an essential contributor to Premier’s broader supply chain optimization strategy.
Clerk Invoice Key Responsibilities
Your role will revolve around precise and timely invoice processing, inventory validation, and collaborative communication with the Debtors’ and Dispatch teams. Your tasks will include:
- Pulling and reviewing the daily on-hold list report, ensuring it’s immediately shared with the Debtors’ department for action.
- Managing the stock exception report in line with standard operating procedures and within defined time frames to ensure stock accuracy.
- Reconciling the previous day’s delivery route list with actual invoices and resolving all discrepancies before month-end cut-off.
- Processing invoices promptly upon receiving the route list, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the picked orders.
- Making sure that the orders are properly picked, transferred, and invoiced in accordance with our detailed warehouse procedures.
- Verifying invoices against the delivery route list to ensure 100 percent accuracy in our customer deliveries.
- Posting invoice batches as per company policy.
- Conducting food safety training sessions and maintaining compliance through accurate handling and updating of training documentation.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12 – This is essential.
- Strong computer literacy, especially with MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Prior experience in an FMCG or warehouse environment is a strong advantage.
- Two to three years of previous experience in a similar invoicing or data entry role is desirable.
