About the Role:
Your duties will include patrolling, monitoring premises, and controlling access points to ensure the safety of the people and properties you are entrusted with. This is a role that requires vigilance, a strong sense of responsibility, and a professional demeanor.
Minimum Requirements:
- PSiRA Grade C: You must hold a valid PSiRA Grade C certification. This is a regulatory requirement in South Africa for all security officers, and it shows that you are legally permitted and qualified to work in the security industry.
- 3 Years of Experience: We require a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the field of security, specifically in roles that involve Access Control and Patrolling. This experience will ensure that you have a solid understanding of the practical responsibilities of a security officer and the ability to act swiftly and appropriately in different scenarios.
- Valid South African ID: Applicants must possess a valid South African ID, as this is required for employment in the country.
- Good Physical Health: As this role can involve physically demanding tasks such as patrolling large premises and responding to security situations, candidates must be in good physical condition. You should be able to stand for extended periods, walk for long distances, and respond quickly to any issues that may arise.
- English Language Proficiency: Clear communication is crucial in the security field. Applicants should have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written. This will enable you to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and any other stakeholders you may interact with on the job.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills: Security officers often serve as the first point of contact for visitors or customers at a facility. We value officers who demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as your attitude and professionalism can make a significant difference in creating a positive and secure environment.
- No Criminal Record: Given the responsibility that comes with the role of a security officer, a clean criminal record is a must. We require candidates to have no criminal convictions, as trust and integrity are non-negotiable in this profession.
