Your Role: Forklift Driver
As a Forklift Driver at our Distribution Centre, you’ll be the backbone of our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload goods while maintaining strict inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Forklifts Safely and Efficiently – Transport stock within the warehouse, load and unload deliveries, and ensure goods are moved without damage.
- Maintain Warehouse Organization – Stack and store products in designated areas, keeping inventory well-managed and easily accessible.
- Perform Equipment Checks – Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure machinery is in optimal condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with Stock Control – Help with picking and packing orders accurately to prevent discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold Safety Standards – Follow all health and safety regulations, keeping aisles, loading docks, and storage areas clear of hazards.
- Team Collaboration – Work alongside warehouse staff to meet daily targets, support dispatch schedules, and maintain a productive workflow.
- Quality Assurance – Adhere to standard operating procedures to guarantee that all handling processes meet company and industry standards.
- Maintain a Clean Workspace – Ensure the warehouse remains tidy and free of obstructions to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Matric Certificate – A basic educational qualification to ensure understanding of workplace procedures.
- Valid Forklift License and Certification – Mandatory for operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience – Prior experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution environment is essential.
- Warehouse and Inventory Knowledge – Familiarity with stock management, loading/unloading processes, and warehouse operations.
- Strong Safety Awareness – A solid understanding of health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
- Reliable and Detail-Oriented – Ability to follow instructions precisely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Team Player Mentality – Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily operational goals.
