Position Summary:
As a Cashier at Pedros, your role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and service. You will be responsible for maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer service, making sure every customer leaves with a smile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene Standards:
- Ensure that all areas of the store are kept clean and hygienic in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Regularly sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils to maintain a safe and healthy environment for both staff and customers.
- Food Safety Standards:
- Adhere strictly to food safety protocols as outlined in our SOP.
- Handle and store food items correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Conduct regular checks on food temperatures and expiry dates to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Preparation of Menu Items:
- Prepare and present menu items promptly and accurately, following the recipes and guidelines provided.
- Maintain the speed of service without compromising on the quality of food preparation.
- Work efficiently to manage orders during peak hours, ensuring customers receive their meals on time.
- Customer Service:
- Welcome and support patrons with a warm and optimistic demeanor.
- Deal with customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Process transactions quickly and accurately, ensuring a smooth and pleasant checkout experience for customers.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in restaurant and fast-food service.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively handle numerous responsibilities within a dynamic and high-speed setting.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Proficient oral communication abilities to effectively engage with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and support your colleagues.
- Education:
- A National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
