Position Overview
As a Safety & Health Officer, you will report to the Manager of Safety and Health with primary responsibilities including:
- Ensuring organizational compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations
- Conducting regular workplace inspections and risk assessments
- Developing and delivering safety training programs
- Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate safety records and documentation
- Promoting safety awareness through targeted campaigns
This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of balancing regulatory requirements with practical safety solutions.
Qualification Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Safety Management
- Certificate in First Line Management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate in Occupational Health
- BTech in Environmental Health or related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years in safety management within heavy industry, mining, or production environments
- Experience with safety management systems and regulatory compliance
