Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will take on several responsibilities that are vital to your growth and the smooth operation of our facility. These include:
- Completing Theoretical Training: You will successfully complete all required modules related to the electrical trade to build a strong knowledge foundation.
- Engaging in Practical Training: Participate in hands-on, intensive on-the-job training to develop your technical and troubleshooting skills under the guidance of skilled professionals.
- Supporting the Production Process: Contribute to ensuring production processes meet high standards of availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Learning Maintenance and Installations: Demonstrate your ability to conduct maintenance tasks and electrical installations with accuracy and efficiency.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Sharpen your critical thinking abilities to identify and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime in operations.
- Adhering to Rules and Regulations: Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and plant operational guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For in a Candidate
- Academic Requirements:
- A valid Matric Certificate with Mathematics, Physical Science, and English as subjects. A minimum pass mark of 50% is required in these subjects.
- Proof of academic transcripts or results for N3 (or higher), including relevant trade theory in electrical engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- A solid understanding of N3 engineering principles at a basic level.
- An interest in learning and applying practical electrical engineering techniques.
- Soft Skills and Attributes:
- Strong Team Orientation: Work effectively within a team, contributing to collaborative success.
- Organizational Skills: Be systematic, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Computer Literacy: Familiarity with basic computer software and its application in technical work.
