Role Overview
As a Security Officer at Mi7 National Group, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our clients’ assets, premises, and personnel. 1. Operational Security & Surveillance
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, ensuring all access points, perimeters, and sensitive zones are secure.
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, personnel, and equipment entering/exiting premises, adhering to strict access control protocols.
2. Incident Response & Reporting
- Act as the first responder to security breaches, medical emergencies, or safety hazards, coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Document incidents with precision, including timestamps, witness statements, and actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Generate daily reports for management, highlighting risks, operational challenges, and compliance updates.
3. QHSE Compliance
- Conduct routine safety audits, identifying potential hazards (e.g., fire risks, equipment malfunctions) and implementing corrective measures.
- Train junior staff on emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and first aid protocols.
4. Dispatch Coordination
- Manage communication between field teams, clients, and control rooms, ensuring seamless information flow during operations.
- Oversee weighbridge activities (if applicable), verifying load documentation and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prioritize dispatch requests during high-volume periods, maintaining calm and efficiency under pressure.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- PSIRA Grade C Certification: Mandatory for operational compliance in South Africa’s security sector.
- 5+ Years of Security Experience: Proven track record in high-risk environments, including surveillance, access control, and incident management.
