Both positions are based at ALPLA’s Lanseria facility.
Main Purpose of the Apprenticeships
The Mechatronics Technician Apprenticeship is designed for individuals with a strong interest in mechanical and electrical systems. You will learn how to integrate these disciplines to solve problems in modern manufacturing environments.
The Plastics Technician Apprenticeship focuses on plastic processing, molding technologies, and quality control. This role is ideal for candidates who are fascinated by how everyday products are designed, engineered, and produced using plastic technologies.
In both cases, ALPLA is seeking candidates who are not just technically skilled but also dynamic, motivated, and eager to learn.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics (minimum 50% — Mathematical Literacy not accepted).
- Physical Science with a minimum of 50%.
- Engineering studies with relevant trade theory in N2–N3 Mechanical or Electrical.
- N3 or above in Engineering studies will be an added advantage.
