Responsibilities of a Warehouse Picker
As a Warehouse Picker at MCE Electric, your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick items from shelves based on order specifications. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and correctly. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Picking and Packing: Selecting items from designated shelves according to order requirements.
- Accuracy: Ensuring that all picked items match order specifications with precision.
- Restocking: Returning items to shelves as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Organization: Keeping the picking area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Team Support: Assisting with other warehouse tasks to support overall operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1. Educational Qualification: National Senior Certificate or its equivalent (NQF 4).
- Experience: While previous warehouse or picking experience is preferred, we welcome entry-level applicants who are eager to learn.
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift and carry items as required in a warehouse setting.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure order accuracy and quality.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Working Conditions
Working as a Warehouse Picker at MCE Electric involves the following conditions:
- Environment: You’ll work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Physical Requirements: The role requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
