We’re looking for a dedicated Forklift Driver to join our Cold Stores team in Springs. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our products are safely moved and stored, reporting directly to the Cold Store Superintendent.
Location: Springs, Gauteng, South Africa
Purpose of the Role
Your main responsibility will be to operate a forklift efficiently and safely within our cold storage environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Start and end each shift with a thorough forklift checklist to ensure safety and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections on the forklift.
- Safely supply products to the mixing and packing departments, handling empty and full palletainers as needed.
- Sort and stack clean palletainers by color in the wash area and yard, ensuring proper organization.
- Understand the processes involved in off-loading trucks and importing containers.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while operating the forklift.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum of Std. 10 / Grade 12.
- License: Valid Forklift Driver’s License.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the FMCG industry within a warehouse environment, with 2 years of forklift driving experience.
Personal Attributes
- Strong communication skills.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Good numerical and literacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and integrity in stock control.
