About the Role

As a Data Capturer, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth functioning of our college’s administrative processes. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately capture, manage, and maintain essential student and institutional data. What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: A Grade 12/Matric or NCV-NQF Level 4 qualification, coupled with a relevant N6 Certificate or equivalent in Management Assistant or a related qualification.
  • Experience: At least 1 year to 18 months of relevant work experience in data capturing.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer literacy, with a strong understanding of data entry and management.

Recommendations:

  • Further Education: A 3-year recognized National Diploma in Management Assistant or an equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
  • Sector Experience: Experience working as a Data Capturer within the TVET sector will set you apart.
  • Knowledge Areas: A good understanding of Information Management, office management, MIS, data warehouse, IT prescripts, Skills Development Act, Public Service Regulations, Public Service Act, and Labour Relations Act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Capture data from various records into required formats such as systems, databases, tables, and spreadsheets.
  • Student Records Management: Accurately capture student registration details, including payment receipts, student numbers, ICES, ISAT, and final marks.
  • Registration Support: Assist during registration periods by capturing enrolment forms and updating student absentees in the system.
  • Data Verification: Review and validate all data entries, ensuring that missing data and errors are identified and corrected.
  • Reporting: Regularly update registers, statistics, and submit data for further processing.
  • Exam Administration: Complete and manage mark sheets, distribute them to the relevant lecturers, and courier external papers to DHET.
  • Documentation and Records Management: Maintain and update system records, ensure proper sorting and security of files, and provide necessary information to relevant departments.
  • Communication: Disseminate schedules and results to campus heads, HODs, and senior lecturers.
