Johnson Controls: EHS Officer Internship 2025
If you’re searching for an entry-level opportunity in health and safety careers within Johannesburg, the EHS Officer Intern role at Johnson Controls could be the perfect start. This position is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about safety, compliance, and protecting people in the workplace.
With structured training, hands-on site exposure, and the chance to grow within a global company, this internship offers much more than just work experience — it’s a launchpad into a long-term career in occupational health and safety.
Why This EHS Officer Internship is Worth Considering
Finding a meaningful first role in the environment, health, and safety (EHS) field can be tough. Many companies require years of experience before they give you a chance. Johnson Controls is breaking that mold by opening the door to graduates with little to no experience (0–1 years) who are eager to learn and make an impact.
- Professional growth: With a SAMTRAC qualification required, this role is tailored to individuals who want to put their studies into practice and build a career in occupational health and safety.
- Zero Harm culture: At Johnson Controls, safety is not a box-ticking exercise — it’s a philosophy. You’ll be part of a culture that values continuous improvement and prioritizes people’s wellbeing.
- Structured balance of tasks: Roughly 20% of your time will be dedicated to audits, another 20% to training, and 60% to documentation and admin, giving you well-rounded exposure to the role.
In short, if you’re a graduate in Johannesburg with a passion for workplace safety, this internship is worth applying for.
