Responsibilities and Duties
As a Merchandiser at Phakisa Holdings, your responsibilities will include:
- Stock Arrangement and Packing
You’ll ensure that products are correctly arranged on shelves, making them easily accessible and visually appealing. Organizing stock is a vital part of creating a seamless shopping experience for customers, and your attention to detail will help keep everything in order. - Handling Returns
Efficiently managing product returns is an essential part of your role. You’ll be responsible for logging and processing returned items to ensure they are either restocked or properly removed from inventory, keeping our shelves accurate and up-to-date. - Removal of Expiring Stock
As a Merchandiser, you’ll be vigilant in identifying and removing products that are near their expiration dates. This helps maintain product quality and ensures customers receive only the freshest items. Your proactive approach to stock rotation will prevent expired goods from reaching customers. - Placing Stock Orders
Keeping shelves stocked is a critical part of your role. By monitoring inventory levels, you’ll know when to order more stock, ensuring that products are available for customers at all times. This responsibility requires a keen sense of timing and attention to detail.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric.
- Smartphone: A smartphone is essential as it may be used for reporting, inventory tracking, or accessing information relevant to your tasks.
- Experience: Previous experience in merchandising is preferred, as it demonstrates familiarity with the responsibilities and skills needed for the job.
- Availability: Candidates should be available to start immediately.
- Criminal Record: A clean criminal record is required for this position.
- Rate: The hourly rate for this position is R27.58.
