Your Role as an Intersen Phase Educator
As a key member of our academic team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds during this crucial developmental phase. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Academic Leadership & Curriculum Delivery
- Design and implement engaging, future-focused lessons that challenge and inspire students
- Foster critical thinking skills and guide learners in developing abstract thought processes
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance the learning experience
2. Student Development & Assessment
- Provide meaningful feedback that promotes academic growth
- Implement effective behavior management strategies that maintain a positive learning environment
- Identify and support students with special learning requirements
3. Professional Collaboration
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
4. Administrative Excellence
- Maintain accurate academic records and complete required documentation promptly
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree( NQF position 6) plus PGCE OR B.Ed( Intermediate/ Intersen/ Senior Phase)
- Valid SACE registration
- Police clearance certificate
Preferred Experience:
- 2-5 years of classroom teaching experience in the Intersen phase
- Background in IEB, Cambridge, or IB curricula (advantageous)
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced computer literacy and digital teaching skills
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with modern educational technologies and e-learning platforms
