Key Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A current driver’s license with a Code 10 or Code 14
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Experience and Knowledge:
- At least 2 years of professional driving experience
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (such as catering gear)
- Experience with towing trailers (up to 2.5 meters wide)
- Familiarity with local roads and routes in your area
- Reliable personal transport to and from your work location

Responsibilities You’ll Take On
As a Casual Catering Driver, your daily tasks will vary but will always focus on providing reliable, respectful, and efficient transport services for Icebolethu’s catering team and clients. Responsibilities include:
- Punctually arriving at designated pickup and drop-off points
- Handling catering gear — loading, unloading, and storing equipment appropriately
- Complying with all traffic laws and internal company protocols
- Communicating respectfully with clients and families on-site
- Reporting mechanical issues and arranging timely repairs or maintenance
- Following safety guidelines and financial procedures during operations
- Supporting your team with other catering-related tasks as assigned
This role may require occasional weekend or after-hours availability, depending on event needs — so flexibility is a big plus.
