Minimum Requirements
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years for novices and up to 45 years for skilled candidates.
- Education: Must have a Grade 12 certificate and provide references to the high school attended.
- Ex-Miners: Valid certificates of competence as per your skill and a record of service.
- Local Residency: Must be a local citizen from your region with proof of residency.
- Councillor Letter: Provide a letter from your ward councillor stating the ward number/district.
- South African Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen with valid proof of identity.
- Proof of Residence: Submit a water and light account as proof of residence or an address verification certificate from CES.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in speaking English.
- Fitness Certification: Ability to pass an underground Certificate of Fitness.
- Security Screening: Must pass security screening (no history of fraud, theft, or violence).

- Signed CV: Your CV should be signed by CES.
- Address Verification: Certificate or letter signed by the recognized community engagement structure, ward councillors, or Traditional Council.
- ID Copy: A clear copy of your identity document.
- Education Certificates: Highest education certificates or degrees.
- Skills Training Certificates: Additional skills training certificates (especially for ex-miners).
