Genet Mineral Processing: Learnership Programs 2025/2026

Genet Mineral Processing offers learnerships for 2025/2026 in Instrumentation, Boilermaking, and Diesel Mechanics.

Available Learnership Programs:

  1. Instrumentation Technician Learnership
  2. Boilermaker Learnership
  3. Diesel Mechanic Learnership

Each of these programs offers a unique opportunity to learn essential technical skills that are crucial in the mining industry. Candidates accepted into these programs will receive hands-on training, theoretical education, and exposure to real-world scenarios that prepare them for a rewarding career.

Qualifications and Requirements for All Programs

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • At a minimum, 40% of students are required to achieve a passing grade in mathematics.
    • The minimum passing rate for science is set at 40% or higher.

In addition to meeting these requirements, candidates must have completed relevant N2-level subjects based on the specific learnership program, as outlined below.

1. Instrumentation Technician Learnership

Additional Academic Requirements:

  • N2 Subjects:
    • Industrial Electronics
    • Electrical Trade Theory

Medical Fitness Requirements:

  • Candidates must pass a medical assessment and present a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.

Preferences: Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

2. Boilermaker Learnership

Additional Academic Requirements:

  • N2 Subjects:
    • Plater Steel and Structural Drawing
    • Plater Trade Theory

Medical Fitness Requirements:

  • Candidates must pass a medical assessment and provide a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.

3. Diesel Mechanic Learnership

Additional Academic Requirements:

  • N2 Subjects:
    • Engineering Drawing
    • Diesel Trade Theory

Medical Fitness Requirements:

  • Candidates must pass a medical assessment and provide a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.

  2. Copy of ID – Valid South African identification.
  3. Grade 12 Certificate – Including results for Mathematics and Science.

  5. COVID-19 Certificate – Proof of vaccination.
  6. Proof of Residence – If unavailable, an affidavit confirming your address is acceptable.
