Key Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: A Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate is recommended, though not essential.
- Reliable Transport: You must have dependable transport to and from work, as we are located in Lichtenburg.
- Work Ethic: We need individuals who are diligent, honest, and motivated to perform well under pressure.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: The manufacturing environment can be demanding, so it’s important that you are able to maintain focus and work efficiently even when things get busy.
- Location: If you are based in or around the Lichtenburg area, it will be an advantage, as we are looking for someone who can easily commute to our workplace.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential. You will need to collaborate with managers, supervisors, and co-workers, so being able to effectively communicate in the workplace is key.
- Willingness to Work Overtime and Shifts: The role requires flexibility, so you must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when needed. You should also be prepared to work across different shifts.
- Physical Stamina: You should be comfortable working in conditions that may involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in dusty, noisy, cold, or wet environments.
Job Responsibilities:
As a General Worker, your daily responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the business, but your main duties will include:
- General Assistance: You will assist the team with tasks assigned by your Manager, ranging from helping with production processes to supporting other areas of the business as needed.
- Collaboration: You will be expected to work closely with supervisors, co-workers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Clear and respectful communication is essential in coordinating tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Cleanliness and Organization: It’s important that you help maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Keeping work areas neat and free of debris is crucial for both safety and efficiency.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all company health and safety protocols are followed is essential. You’ll be expected to adhere to strict safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Flexibility: Since the needs of the business can change quickly, your role may include other tasks and duties as required by your Manager. You should be adaptable and open to taking on a variety of responsibilities.
