What You’ll Be Doing: Road Worker Aid Duties

This is a hands-on role with a focus on improving the condition and functionality of public roadways. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Road Surface Repairs: Patch potholes, repair tar roads, and seal cracks to improve road safety.
  • Drainage Maintenance: Clean ditches, concrete channels, and outlets to prevent flooding.
  • Construction Support: Assist with re-gravelling roads, building culverts and side drains, and installing steel guardrails and gabions.
  • Road Signage and Markings: Paint road lines, install and repair road signs, and set up road marking signs for clearer traffic guidance.
  • Roadside Clean-Up: Maintain sidewalks, resting areas, and surrounding landscapes.
  • Equipment Management: Be responsible for any tools and equipment issued for daily work.
  • Safety Oversight: Help monitor site assets and ensure safety standards are upheld.
