Position: Code 14 / EC Driver

As a Code 14 / EC Driver with Macdonald’s Transport, you will be responsible for long-distance transportation, ensuring that goods are safely delivered across various locations. This role demands individuals who are attentive to detail, have a deep understanding of road safety, and are capable of handling large vehicles in diverse road conditions. Key Requirements

• Valid Code 14 (EC) License: A Code 14 license is essential for this position. This allows you to operate large vehicles required for long-haul transport.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP): Your PrDP should be current, with an expiration date no sooner than six months from your application date. This is essential for legally transporting goods and passengers over long distances.
• Long-Distance Driving Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience with Code 14 (EC) vehicles, particularly in long-distance transportation. Your ability to manage extended hours on the road, combined with a demonstrated history of safe driving practices, will be an asset in this role.
• South African Citizenship: This position is open to South African citizens only, ensuring that drivers are familiar with local laws and regulations.
• Valid Passport: Applicants should have a valid passport that is not due to expire within the next six months, as cross-border travel may be required.
• Knowledge of Side Tipper and Flatdeck Trailers: Familiarity with these types of trailers is crucial, as you will often work with these vehicle configurations. Prior experience handling them will make your transition into the role smoother and more efficient.

• SARS Letter (IT150): A current IT150 from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) is necessary, ensuring that all employees meet tax compliance standards.
