Ecowise Picker Packers Vacancy
Ecowise is seeking individuals to fill Picker Packers positions in the East Rand area of Johannesburg. Become part of our dedicated team and contribute significantly to our warehouse activities by meticulously selecting, packaging, and sending out products with precision.
About the Role
As a Picker Packer, your main responsibility will be to handle incoming and outgoing goods within our warehouse. You’ll be preparing items for shipment, ensuring they are correctly labeled, weighed, and packed to meet delivery requirements. Additionally, you’ll assist in loading and unloading vehicles, contributing to the efficient flow of goods in and out of our facility.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and Checking: Receive and unpack incoming stock, verifying quantities and quality against delivery notes.
- Picking Orders: Accurately pick items based on picking slips to fulfill customer orders.
- Dispatching: Ensure correct stock is issued and dispatched daily to meet delivery schedules.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damages or defects, promptly reporting any issues to management.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monthly stock counts and variance reviews to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Back Orders: Action back orders promptly and communicate fulfillment issues to warehouse administrators.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical problems with warehouse equipment for timely repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Follow warehouse safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to warehouse processes and practices.
- Additional Duties: Support warehouse administrators as needed and perform other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 qualification.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar warehouse role.
- Skills: Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand-held scanning devices.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to manage tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in picking and packing orders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Computer Literacy: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
